The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation has three main Core Pillars. It's essentially what we stand for and is at the very heart of everything we do.
Working with Prospects College of Advance Technology (PROCAT), City & Guilds and a number of strategic partners, BiKBBI is developing educational pathways for industry newcomers, to include apprenticeships. We anticipate a national apprenticeship being available in 2018.
Continual Professional Development (CPD) is also available for installers via The BiKBBI iAcademy.
Publishing industry standards, guidelines and a professional code of conduct helps the industry to set a benchmark for quality. It sets consumer expectations and provides clarity for those who deliver front line installation services.
BiKBBI also operates a national expert independent inspection service, supporting members, partners and their customers, as well as The Furniture Ombudsman and their Alternative Dispute Resolution service (as part of the Consumer Rights Act 2015).
Supporting members to achieve their commercial aspirations, deliver a robust, quality, professional and safe service to their customers, as well as helping the industry to connect with installations and those professionals who operate within the sector.
BiKBBI also offers a mediation service to its members and their installers, helping to strengthen relationships and provide an independent opinion when necessary.
